M O T H E R ‘S D A Y

Islam does not recognize the concept of Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. In fact, to single out just one day of the year to honor our fathers and mothers is an embarrassment and humiliation to our parents. Every single moment of our lives is for our fathers and our mothers. Shariah has placed  much emphasis on the rights of parents.
Islam places strong emphasis on enjoining family ties. There should be respect amongst family members all the time and no one day is needed to be singled out for this.

Non-Muslims at times may do things that seem appealing. Muslims should not be caught up in the celebrations and traditions of non-Muslims.

⇨ Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala Says:
And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him and do good to parents (Quran 17:23).

⇨ Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala, says Be grateful to Me and to your parents (Quran 31:14)
⇨ Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr رضي الله عنه :
A man came to Rasulullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam asking his permission to take part in Jihad. Rasulullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam asked him, “Are your parents alive?” He replied in the affirmative. Rasulullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam said to him, “Then exert yourself in their service.”
(Sahih Bukhari Book #52, Hadith #248)

These are just a few of the occasions on which the importance of the parents are being highlighted, to show that at all times parents should be honored.

May Allah Ta’ala give us all the ability to be grateful, kind, and merciful to our parents
آمِينَْ آمِينْ آمِينْ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

A man came to the Prophet & said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet (PBUH) said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?’ The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim)
It’s strange that majority of us (Muslimeen) know most other holidays …this day ..that day etc… Yet we need to look at the calendar for our great Islamic days wen it should be in our hearts.
Today is the 1st of Rajab..and sadly some find it preferable to remember an EVIL KUFR FASID WESTERN UNISLAMIC innovation called mother’s day!_
